In case youve gotten bored of the vanilla background music (BGM), heres a way to customize them.
sunny

Required Tools
iTunes or any kind of program that allows you to convert audio formats to .WAV
Wavosaur or any program that is specifically designed to allow you to edit .WAV files; Audacity is another you can use.

The NPC/Town music is replaced differently than the Boss music. Please follow the respective guide for each.

Replacing NPC/Town Music
For this section, we will replace the Colhen town music.
1. Find the path to your BGM folder in Vindictus program files. (ex: C: -> Nexon -> Vindictus -> en-US -> sound -> bgm )
2. Rename "bgm_colhen_01" to anything other than that. It is recommended to rename it to something like "ORIGINALbgm_colhen_01" so you can change it back in the future if you desire.
3. Copy your MP3 file into the BGM folder. (If it isnt MP3 you will need to convert it.)
4. Rename your copied MP3 file to "bgm_colhen_01"
5. ???
6. Profit.

Replacing Boss Music

Important Notes:
- This is assuming you will be using iTunes and Wavosaur to convert audio formats.
- Avoid songs that are too lengthy as they will loop.
- The file size of the .WAV should be >20mb (Dont go over 20mb)

1. Open iTunes, go into EDIT -> Preferences.
2. Under the general tab, select "Import settings"
3. Next to "Import using...", select "Wav encoder".
4. Select the audio file from your list that you wish to change the format of.
5. Right click and select "Create WAV Version". At this point you should see a copy of the file now in .wav format.
6. Right click the new file and select "Show in Windows explorer". It should open the folder with your new audio file inside.
7. Open Wavosaur, go to "File -> Open" to get the file you wish to edit.
8. Go to "Edit -> Select all". This should highlight the entire piece.
9. Go to "Tools -> Loop -> Create loop points". This should make a loop point at the beginning and the end.
10. Save and exit Wavosaur
11. Open your BGM folder (ex: C: -> Nexon -> Vindictus -> en-US -> sound -> bgm )
12. Rename "bgm_boss_x" to anything other than that. It is recommended to rename it to something like "ORIGINALbgm_boss_x" so you can change it back in the future if you desire.
13. Copy/move your editted .WAV file to the BGM folder and rename it to "bgm_boss_x" (x = what the original file had)
14. ???
15. Profit.

If you start to experience lag it is because the music file is too large. The recommened file size limit is 20mb but it may be more or less. Its up to you to experiment, but keep it short to avoid lag issues.
